Janmashtami is recognized as one of the most renowned and oldest festivals celebrated in India annually. Across India this festival is celebrated is varied ways. But amongst all – fasting, singing, praying together, preparing and sharing special food, night vigils and visiting Krishna or Vishnu temples is seen commonly across India. A significant number of people also celebrate by organizing a dance-drama named Rasa-Lila or Krishna-Lila.
